General Duties Presidential Ambassadors are invited to participate in a variety of events and activities throughout the academic year. A significant part of their work involves building meaningful relationships with alumni, donors, and friends of the College—individuals who are invested in the success and future of Hendrix. PAs serve as living examples of the impact of this support.
Core Responsibilities
Attend the PA Welcome Back Retreat
Participate in monthly PA meetings (Held the first Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. in the Burton Dining Room)
Volunteer a minimum of 30 hours per academic year
Represent the Presidential Ambassadors, the Office of the President, the Office of Advancement, and Hendrix College with professionalism and integrity
Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
Provide at least one recommendation from a Hendrix faculty or staff member
Annual Events Supported by PAs PAs are expected to serve at major college events throughout the year, including:
Hendrix Day of Giving Events
1876 Society Holiday Reception
Homecoming Weekend
1876 Society Annual Gala
Alumni Weekend and Alumni Awards
Commencement Ceremonies
Board of Trustees Events
Additional Volunteer Opportunities PAs may be invited to assist with a variety of additional events and engagements, including:
Board meetings and strategic retreats
Private dinners and donor events
VIP guest visits and receptions
Campus tours and welcome receptions
Participation in these events will be coordinated by the Office of the President and the Office of Advancement on an as-needed basis.
